Location: Duke Street Dental Centre Hours: Full-time, permanent Salary: Dependent on Experience (DOE) Reports to: Practice Manager

We are now seeking a proactive and organised Compliance Lead & Dental Nurse to join our busy practice. This hybrid role combines clinical nursing duties with day-to-day operational and administrative support to the Practice Manager, making it an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to develop into a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Management Support
• Assist the Practice Manager in the daily running of the practice, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with all regulatory standards (CQC, GDC, HTM 01-05, GDPR), risk management, and quality assurance activities.
• Support with stock control, and ordering of dental materials and consumables.
• Handle patient queries and complaints professionally and promptly, maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Support with recruitment, induction, and staff training.
• Equipment repairs, maintenance and servicing.
NB: Responsibilities are not exhaustive and are subject to change to meet the needs of the business.
Dental Nursing Duties
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists and hygienists, maintaining cross-infection control to the highest standard.
• Prepare, sterilise, and set up instruments and materials for each patient.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure smooth running of treatment sessions.
• Support with clinical audits, stock checks, and laboratory liaison.
• Comply with all GDC and CQC requirements and keep CPD up to date.
Essential Requirements
• Qualified Dental Nurse with current GDC registration.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in dental nursing (NHS or mixed practice).
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of compliance and CQC standards.
• Computer literate – experience with dental software (SOE Exact)
• A positive, proactive approach and willingness to take on additional responsibility.
